Open Editions .Co is dedicated to the friends, artists and free thinkers whose photographs you see here within.
This select group of artists from around the world shares many aesthetic ideals, but more importantly, they are united by a common philosophical approach to the medium of photography.
We believe the value of art is greater than any price tag attached to it; and this is why we have chosen to collaborate with artists to produce open edition prints.
The photographs presented here will awaken your imagination and stir feelings within your soul. They will be talking points for years to come.
Open Editions. Co is based in Brisbane, Australia. We acknowledge the Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the first inhabitants of the nation and the traditional custodians of the lands on which we live and work. In particular we acknowledge the Turrbal and Jagera peoples as the original and ongoing owners and custodians of Meanjin (Brisbane).

Sven Knudsen | Open Editions .Co Director
From 2018-21 I was employed at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade as Secretariat of the Australian Cultural Diplomacy Grant Program. My role included working on public and cultural diplomacy initiatives in the Pacific region.
Prior to DFAT I worked at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra on public programs and travelling exhibitions. Over the last two decades, I have curated and toured several exhibitions throughout Australia and overseas. I hold an honours degree and a double major in Art History from the University of Queensland.
More recently, I returned to Brisbane with my young family after having lived in Canberra for fourteen years.
Open Editions .Co was launched in November 2021 with a singular focus on the medium of photography.
For now, the gallery represents the work of seven artists, and we look forward to forging new relationships as time goes on.
Our journey is just beginning, and we hope that you enjoy what we have to offer.
